Advanced Module 1 (AVM 1)
Awards : Award of Merit (AM) and Senior Resuscitation (Snr Resus)
Aim : This is a higher level Module for a qualified lifesaver to establish a higher level of knowledge, understanding and practical ability in aquatic rescue situation.
Pre-requisite : Bronze Medallion Award.
Minimum Age : 15 years old.
Class Size : 4 - 8 participants.
Duration : 8 sessions of 2 hours each.
Course Fee : $380 per participant.
Course Syllabus :
A. Skills covered in Standard Module.
B. Longer distance Tows.
C. Resuscitation in deep water without support.
D. Further Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
E. Further Emergency Care.
Course Entitlement : One SLSS round-neck Tee-Shirt or SLSS Lifesaver Cap, three pairs of surgical gloves and three CPR face-shields.

Award : Distinction (DA)
Aim : This is the most advanced practical test of a qualified lifesaver who must show all-round ability to carry out high standard and effective rescues over long distances and possess higher level knowledge in resuscitation.
Pre-requisite : The Award of Merit and Senior Resuscitation Awards.
Minimum Age: 16 years old.
Class Size : 4 - 8 participants.
Duration : 6 sessions of 2 hours each.
Course Fee : $400 per participant.
Course Syllabus :
A. Skills covered in Advanced Module 1 (AVM 1).
B. Longer distance Tow.
C. Further initiative situations.
D. Further Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
E. Long distance swim.
